We absolutely love scones in our house. They are so versatile - once you get your base method right you can add any combination of fruit and flavours you like! Scones are so filling and with so little sugar added to this recipe they're pure homemade goodness!
We added strawberries to these scones and some chocolate buttons just for fun but you could also try fresh blueberries or raisins or whatever fruits you prefer. Scones are best eaten on the day of baking as they are warm and crisp. These are a great weekend treat or super easy to whip up if you have visitors calling! Remember the most important thing about baking with children is to have fun and let them play and learn in the process. It's all about the joy and accomplishment that comes with creating something delicious that you can share with family and friends.
